bosshog
I hauled a bunch of convicts to Edmonton from home. We stopped overnight at the inlaws place half way. Used a big rubbermaid tub. I took 5 gal of tank water in a container did a water change just before bedtime. While at the inlaws a powerhead and heater were on in the container. Total time about 30 hours, no problems with the fish. A better way for just one fish is the biggest container you can find that will fit inside a cooler. Put a couple of heat packs in if it's cool out, fish should do just fine.
Parachromis1
Rubbermaid, a powerconverter with an airpump w/ an airstone. Also, grab some bag buddies. They're awesome. I brought home a 14" Haitiensis fine that way.
The-Influence
Well I Dont Have A Spare Air Pump As Im Not Going With The Fish ..... RD.
You can purchase battery operated air pumps, and with a fish that size I totally agree with Quinn. Sans an air supply your fish will most likely be DOA by the time it reaches the Hat.
The-Influence
So Should I Put A Hole In The Top Of The Rubber Maid And Then Just Duct Tape The Lid On ??
RD.
Do you mean a hole for the line of an air pump, or just a hole?
The-Influence
A Hole For The Air Pump Line . And Maybe A Hole For Some Of The Gases To Escape .
