Knowzilla Posted November 4, 2009 Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 Can Maracyn 2 be used with Melafix, or do I have to finish using the maracyn 2 first? The reason that I am asking is I am treating my 120gal planted for fin and tail rot (that only seams to be affecting the guppys) with Maracyn 2 but don't have enough to finish treating for more than three days and there is none available where I live just in edmonton. Lots of Melafix in town but no Maracyn 2. Weird thing is the fin and tail rot is only effecting my guppys with the orange and black speckled fins and the ones with green fins, all other fish (mollys,playts,corys,clownloaches,chinese algie eater,simese algie eater), don't seem to be effected by the fin and tail rot. Blue Ram Posted November 4, 2009 Report Share Posted November 4, 2009 Unfortunately when using antibotics, you need to treat for at least 5 days. 3 days is likely not going to cut it.
