He was around 4" when we got him about a year ago (w/c and he's MY baby, I don't care what sammy says!). He didn't start flecking for at least six months and as you can see from only a couple of months he has gotten way more flecks. He is absolutly beautiful though (IMO). I would REALLY like to have a species tank of these, I prefer these over frontosas. From what I have seen the females of this species are really pretty too they tend to be a pearl colour with navy blue barring. Also, these guys are not aggressive in the slightest just a wonderful fish all around...I would recommend these to anyone who has a peacock/hap tank.
