werner
Not good. Might be a melanosarcoma (melanoma).
colby82
well... what is the best way to treat this, if it even can be treated?..? and will if get the rest of my fish sick? any help would be great. thanks colby
werner
If it is a melanosarcoma, it's really not treatable and euthanasia would be the best thing. It wouldn't be contagious, although fish from the same bloodlines might be at higher risk of developing it themselves. Maybe keep an eye on it for a while and see if it gets and better or continues to grow. (I'm no expert, I just have access to a lot of books.)
