JLake
welcome timecop, how big is your flowehorn?
bryancatfish
nice to meet you and as far as puting anything else with him i wouldnt advise it. i have even seen them DESTROY much larger common plecos as well as other larger breeds of s.a. cichlids. his disposition dictates that he would best be left alone. good to meet you
rED O
Hey Kevin Another flowerhorn fan  Honestly, he will kill anything you put with him. 75 gallon is a perfect size for a single flowerhorn. Have a picture of him?
timecop
He's about between 6 to 7 inches, he is very active and fast , chase my finger around and try to bite it but getting used to hand feed him shrimp..btw what can i feed him to make his hump grow bigger i will post pics later on.. JLake
Ask RD what to feed the flowerhorn. yeah flowerhorns are best kept alone Ive heard
rED O
I don't think there are foods that will grow his hump larger. The size of the kok is depended on the genetics of the flowerhorn and dominance. I looked for a long time before buying my flowerhorns. I wanted to make sure I got high quality ones with kok potential. Edited April 16, 2010 by rED O
JLake
you need to have a large kok or the ladies wont approve

darkangel
Nice flowerhorn, and it is a boy. You can try and find a lady for him, but you will need a eggcrate divider held in place by a lot of large heavy rocks. even with that it would be wise to check on the tank 2 to3 times a day to make sure the divider is still in place. You can get successful spawnings with the divider in place.
leckiesr
Very nice fish, to bad he is kind of a bastard and you cant put anything else in the tank. I would look for a mate for him though, even if you don't want to breed them, at least you can get some more fish in there
JLake
haha not having a mate doesnt make u a bastard!
