  3. Good day sir, I was wondering how available the L-204 emperor pleco becomes available and if you might be able to get a few before the auction this month in edmonton. I currently have 4 of the little guys but i really want to try to breed them and finding females i am finding very difficult... actually finding any is actually impossible for me. i was lucky enough to grab what my retail distributer had and i havent seen them since. please let me know if you can get them or if they are even available. you are the wizard when it comes to these things so if you can find them around the 3 to 4 inch mark i am definately interestd in getting at least 4 to 6 more especially females if possible yours truly B
  4. They are now about 3 1/2 to 4" but i still cant make out male from female. they seem to be creating dens in the sand substrate underneath all my driftwood . i currently have them in a community south american tank with lots of flat rock and driftwood the PH is around 7 with alot of flow in the water. I dont know if the dens are a sign of breeding but i am hopeful. but if they are around 8" i dont think that they are sexually mature enough to breed just yet. I have another 90 gallon tank that i want to use for them but i have to et rid of 3 red belly piranhas first so if anyone is interested ill sell em for 100.00 for the trio. preds arent really my thing.

  12. i really wanna say thanks to all of you for your help. the worm population is dwindling nicely due to your advise. the trap and fw dip worked wonders and he thinks that he has taken the biggest of them all out of the tank now. thanks again to all of you
  13. Hi folks, I dont usually post in this forum as I am a freshwater guy but i have a friend in need of some help with his bristleworm population. he has a 40 to 50 gallon tank that is being over run with bristleworms. I really dont know how to help him so i am asking all of you for some advise as to how to get rid of them while doing as little harm to the tank as possible. He really wants to put a long tentacle aneome in there for his clowns but he is worried that the bristleworms will harm it. can anyone let me know what to tell him Thanks
  14. im pretty sure that the west ed location of pjs has at least 1 in stock as well as the southpark location. i think that i saw one in there as well the last time i was in.
  15. hey buddy hope everything is ok. have you noticed any of your other guys spending time in her areas or taking shots at her? i remember when i had mine every time one was getting beaten up they would spend there time at the surface due to stress. it might be a good idea to move her to another tank until she looks better. is the male going after her maybe? hope that everything goes ok.
  16. just another side note here. you guys are up WAY to early in the morning. LOL i wasnt even sure there was such a thing as 6 in the morning anymore.
  17. i heard a tale not 2 weeks ago. someone came into the store and was saying that there are at least 2 people in edmonton or st albert that have had some pretty good luck with breeding them for the last couple of years. if i can find out who and where they are i would be more than happy to let you guys know. i mean if you can get them from an edmonton based breeder at least they will be acclimated to our water conditions before you get them and you would have alot less likelyhood of losing any. i will try to keep everyone posted.
  18. nice to meet you. welcome to the forum. . do you have any ynodontis yet? they would be a great addition to both those tanks.
  19. to funny that looks pretty cool in the tank. you said you got it in mexico? were there any others like this one? say a batman or spawn ornament?
  20. you can always try elite heaters. they arent the best and will crap out on you eventually but they are cheap and will get you through a squeeze until you can afford something better.
  21. you could try a L052 butterfly pleco they look incredible and stay fairly small(about the same as your bristlenose) mine arent shy and they are very peaceful and busy.
  22. hey there jester whass up. hank for the compliment on the bettas

  23. nice to meet you and as far as puting anything else with him i wouldnt advise it. i have even seen them DESTROY much larger common plecos as well as other larger breeds of s.a. cichlids. his disposition dictates that he would best be left alone. good to meet you
  24. hi there i work for a local store called aquarium designs. i was wondering how we would become a sponser on this site. i have noticed in recent weeks the odd post dropping our name. i thought that it may have ome benifit to both our store and your site to become a sponser. i cant seem to find a spot other than this to post questions of this nature. i had replied to a post in the betta catagory today but i can see that it has already been removed. if i have overstepped my bounds with this post i do apologize. i didnt think that you guys would have left it up but i tried. anyway i am interested in getting aquarium designs seen on your site if at all possible. no i am not the owner but i do promote this site whenever possible to my customers as a group of people that are friendly and knowledgeable and that my customers should be a part of this great community. all i need is some information as to how to get to be a sponser as well as how much per month\year. would you be so kind as to let me know. thanks in advance
