canucklehead
I have seen a few photos of these guys and they look cool, anyone ever seen the in Calgary? I want a cool cat that doesn't get too big, I'm hoping these would fit the bill.
Nyasa
Did a little research on this fish. It is highly adaptable and easy to care for. However it will get large rather quickly. Grows to 30" and has a rather broad body. You'll need a large aquarium to ultimately keep this fish. Check it out on www.planetcatfish.com in the Cat-e-log or the feature article in Catfish of the Month from October 1999. HTH. David.
rudy
There is a dwarf version that gets to around 9 inches or so Anaspidoglanis macrostoma. Auchenoglanis occidentalis is the true giraffe cat and it gets about 2 feet or so. Hard to find here like any out of the ordinary cat. I beleive Oliver Lucanas from below water gets them in sometimes, but they are not cheap. www.belowwater.com You should check out a Pimelodus ornatus. They are easier to get and probably around $70 cdn is what you will pay for a decent sized one. Oliver gets these in sometimes and can get you in touch with a local retailer.
