Blue Ram
I set up a 15 gal over the weekend with a bag of "flourite dark". I did not rinse it as I was not in a hurry to add any fish. What's the best product and/or method of removing the cloudiness? I have a small aquaclear on it - I'm hoping most of the small particles will get mechanically removed. vince0
You could tuen off the filter for day. Thisll let the dust settle to the bottom so that you can easily syphon it out
Blue Ram
I let the tank sit without filtration for a day before I turned the filter on.
Jaykit
Run a fine filter pad in your filter and it will help, make sure to clean the pad often as it will fill up fast. Mostly its just patients and giving it some time to settle and filter through.
BettaFishMommy
toss an additional hob on there but have it filled with just filter floss or polyester batting. it will help to polish the water. remove additional hob once water is clear. i agree, patience is key when dealing with new tanks, cloudiness from substrate, etc.
