DANA T
Hi all i have a 30 gal rimless tank i was thinking of building a 3d back ground in ,i was planning on using a styrofoam shipping box ,cutting it cross corner and glueing pieces to it . My question is in all the DIY articals there is only 1 reference to the paint used in building these and it is concrete paint,Since i am not planing on using concrete in the build what type of paint shoild i use to paint my styrofoam. thanks Dana
gBOYsc2
A good place to start would be to check youtube. There are plenty of videos on there of people making DIY backgrounds. You can use cement, grout and different colored grout dyes to get desired effects. I am not too sure of what kind of paint or dyes to use but I know if you check youtube you will get plenty of ideas.
