Zebra Nerite (Neritina Natalensis)

A week later, nearly all of the GSA has been removed from my tank. Where large patches were, now only flecks exist. There are some spots the snail can't get at, but that's the extent of it.

Eggs shmeggs. I don't care. This guy is a god-send.

You think you're in love now, wait until you see a horned nerite. They look like comic aliens, too cute!! You little algae vacuums....

I'm not sure if this is a stupid idea, but I have a few nerites in my 120 and I have noticed some eggs on the wood in there. Would it be possible to put a small chunk of wood in the tank specifically for the nerites to lay eggs on, remove the wood and put it in a bowl of salt water so they hatch? Do they specifically need to be in an established salt water tank? How long do they take to hatch?

Any input would be nice, and if this is a ridiculous idea please do not hesitate to let me know. Thx.
