Okotoks Posted May 6, 2011 Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 Has anyone got some info on bamboo? I have lots of it in vases around the house and was wondering if it would do well in a 10 gallon tank. werner Posted May 6, 2011 Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 It's not really bamboo, but a non-aquatic houseplant (Dracena sanderiana) You could put the roots in the tank if they're clean from soils/fertilizers, but submerging it wouldn't be appropriate. nanmer Posted May 6, 2011 Report Share Posted May 6, 2011 I have lucky bamboo in my cichlid tank. It is growing quite well with all the poop the fish produce! I have the roots in the gravel and the leaves out of the tank. I noticed that shoots are forming under water so it will be interesting to see how it grows under water.
