FISHLIPS
well i have a female trying to lay eggs on a rock but the bigger male just vigorously eats them instantly, not as gentle as i would imagine he would if he were trying to hold them.So what is a normal behavior at this point? She is twitching and shaking but he shows little attention toward fertilization.Should i just accept this as normal behavior for first time breeders? They are biting each other, waving their tails and lip locking but mostly after he eats the eggs.
Burbot
If they are 1st time breeders don't worry too much about it. It usually takes them a few tries to get it right. It is great news that you got them spawning. Be patient and I am sure you will have plenty of healthy fry in no time.
