rudy
I saw that. They had to deflate the ball to get the thing from floating at the top. The catfish tried to eat the ball. Pylodictis olivaris is the cat in case anybody cares.

I am staying out of any water around here...just in the off chance one of those might be around lol hey...if I could find one of those I could strap a sharks fin on him and train him to terrorize the water skiers

Toirtis
Not in Alberta waters, I am afraid...all we have here are Noturus flavus , of which there are precious few, and they are small buggers, maxing-out at around 14-16cm. http://www.scotcat.com/factsheets/noturus_flavus.htm
ABwildrose
What are those catfish looking things that are in the river? (SouthSask) People called them Suckers. OH...I always wondered what Ling Cod are. They are gross eel kinda looking things that people would catch in the coulee bottom before they filled it up and made a lake. Toirtis
Those 'ling cod' would be burbot....quite common in Alberta...you can catch them right here in the Glenmore Reservoir in Calgary.....ugly, hard to clean, and taste like lobster.
