Mko
looking good =) some nice rcs. Can't wait to see everything fill in fully. My grass is slowly starting increases its growth rate but has to recover from being neglected for so long. what other tanks do you have running right now? and did you order your lily pipes online? lgamboa
Thanks Man. I only have this one as I don't have enough space for now plus I like the nano setups. Next year, I'll be making a 15 or 20 gallon, I kinda have something in mind already or I might do a triangular composition like yours. I got this from Jayba. The pipes are good and took about 2 weeks. I should have purchased another one for my tank next year. I got the 13 mm one as that fits my Eheim 2213. No complaints, shipping takes a little while, but for the price who cares. http://www.ebay.ca/i...=item3caa458094

I feel that more people need to be aware of the truly calming and artistic potential fish tanks have... more iwagumis! less colored gravel =(

lgamboa
Thanks. Betta and Mko. I'll keep posting until the tank matures. Iwagumis arent too bad. There are rules around it which sometimes limits your flexibility. (golden ratio, plant and rock (size and type) selection) Here are some links to creating Iwagumis. The golden ratio is very important http://www.aquascapist.com/aquascaping/using-the-golden-ratio-in-aquascaping/#comment-561 http://www.aquajournal.net/na/iwagumi/index.html http://www.thegreenmachineonline.com/articles/tips-techniques/aquatic-layout-guide-rules-composition-the-golden-ratio-creating-perspectiv
lgamboa
Here's how I used the "Golden ratio" in this project. The circle represents the focal point. The yellow vertical and horizontal follow the Golden ratio. The red lines show how triangular symmetry was used in the layout. http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g342/LG_Aquadesign/DSCN5033Iwagumi.jpg
