Pop Eye
I mixed up a new batch of Sugar and Yeast and put it in my container. It looks like some of the mixture went down the tube and into my tank. Since now my tank is cloudy. My fish dont seem to care at this point. It was going into my tank for prob less then an hour. Should I be concerned? Of course I dont have any test strips left to tell you what the water is conditions are. Gina
Milan
Although, there is very little alcohol in the stuff to make your fish drunk, I would do a water change. In the future, to prevent this from happening, make sure: - Your generator is not filled to the brim - You have a proper mixture (2 cups of sugar + 1/4 tsp yeast in 2 lit ) In addition, a gas separator would help. Garhan
I concer with Milans statements. Also let your system cure for an hour or two before hooking up to the tank. The other problem that you will encounter mechanically is syphoning back into your system if you use to warm a water.
Pop Eye
Thank you so much. Looks like everything is ok. Tank is clear. No more mixture going into tank after I noticed it. I think I probably put a bit to much yeast in it. Thanks Gina
