acarriere
This guy is in my boyfriend's tank, and I'm curious about what species (or genus!) it is. It has a bit of a cichlid look about it, but since it's kind of bland looking and I don't know my cichlids, I'm having a tough time IDing it. Any thoughts? acarriere
Thanks Calvus! It looks like they're not a good fish for beginners -- it's a miracle my boyfriend has kept her alive all these years! Also, this is a fine example of why pet store folks can't be depended on. They recommended this fish as an "algae eater" in a 16G community tank. Ughhh. (She's in a 40G now, with only 2 gouramis -- still not ideal, but better)
