russty34
I am having a slight prob. I had a female white calvus die, It looked as if her stomach was swollen so bad that it tore. I thought maybee just an isolated incodent but tonight I see another with the same symtoms though not ripping but very swollen. I do not know what this is can someone help? Big Red 265.
Sounds like Malawi Bloat. Try Clout. Use it every day with a 30% water change after 3-4 days. Keep it up for at least a week. This is strong stuff so you should use caution. I recomend it because it is what Dennis at Golds told me to use when I started to loose my Mdoca Flame Tails to bloat. Good luck and let us know how it goes

RD.
I read about this in calvus & comps several times when I used to mod in the illness folder on CF. IMO it's not bloat, and for now I'd hold off on the clout. Here's a past thread on this subject on CF. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=31616
russty34
Thanks for all the help. She is the same today and not eating. I might try the no feed for 3 days and see if it helps. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated
