Consider that: 10 gallons of water weighs 83 lbs. 20 gallons of water weighs 166 lbs. 75 gallons of water weighs 306 lbs. I can't imagine that turning the aquarium on its end is more pressure than it has to handle sitting full... as long as you are careful about twisting a really long custom shaped aquarium? Jaykit Posted July 30, 2013 Report Share Posted July 30, 2013 I moved my 180 gallon tank into the basement around a tight corner. I had to stand it on its end, twist it, slide it, and a bunch of other tricky moves to get it to fit around the corner.
