Zane Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 Hi all I just set up my Milwaukee reg on a 14lb bottle,my aquarium is 140gl with discus and low light plants,i will be ordering a ph controller next week,3-4 bps is what i ran on my old 70gl,what does everyone suggest for bps on this 140gl?? Frogfish Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 6-8 would be my guess since the water volume has doubled, maybe try with 5-6 until the controller arrives then increase as required based on drop checker readings or other pH tests. ckmullin Posted March 25, 2014 Report Share Posted March 25, 2014 Don't rely on bps for full co2 information as this rate varies greatly between tanks for what is housed in that glass box. Just to start out since this is a brand new setup try maybe 3 bubbles leave for a day so the ph adjusts and measure the ph. Readjust the co2 after that according to the ph value.
