kwirky88
I'm trying to source out chemicals to mix up dosing solutions for EI dosing. Need to mix up KNO3, KH2PO4, and GH booster. Can anybody advise me on where to get the raw chemicals and how to mix them up for EI dosing?
McTurtle
Where are you located? Canadian Aquatics is a good online source. I mix mine using boiled tap water (cooled) and sterilized mason jars, stored at room temp in the dark. Seems to work so far. The reason why I'm asking is because when I call around to the gardening supply places it's sold in 20 pound bags! A lifetime supply for 100 aquarists! Thanks for the suggestion of Canadian Aquatics. I'm checking them out now.
McTurtle
You can also try a hydroponics store instead of a garden centre. I don't have any idea about stores in Calgary though, sorry.
Kirinashi
Quick Grow on Edmonton Tr. will have what you need in small quantities. It can be cheaper online, but if time is an issue, they seem to be helpful when I've been there.
fishclubgirl
There's some people in the CAS who know where to get it too.. I would try it but I'd probably blow something up...
Pteronarcys
PlantGuy is based out of winnepeg http://www.theplantguy.org/Fertilizer_c_27.html Canadian Aquatic as mentioned earlier is good too. http://www.canadianaquatics.com/equipment/equipment.htm I have ordered from both companies. You will likely have to show a copy of your driver's license in order to get NO3 since it is a key ingredient in explosives
