1962kevin
Hello all. I've had my 120 g set up for 10 days with around 33 inches of fish in it. Running an fx6 with seachem ultra seeded with filter media from the tank the fish came from. No substrate yet. Got my test kit yesterday and initial readings were: Ammonia: .50-1.0 ppm Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 10 pH: 8.0 Another set of tests today: Ammonia: .5 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 160 pH: 7.8 I can see something is happening; not sure how to interpret these results. I added the initial and second dosing of Stability over the past 2 days. Ammonia readings have never been more than 1.5 or so and the 1.0 is what my tap water (edmonton) reads after using prime. I'll do a 50% water change right away them maybe another this evening to get the nitrates down. Any learned advice? Thank you, Kevin Edited October 1, 2019 by 1962kevin Added bare bottom fyi
Percilus
With that nitrate result I'd say your cycled if that is your question. If your not going to add 2-4" of gravel to that tank or plants etc I would recommend a little more biological filtration before adding more fish. Oh and if yer at 160 ppm nitrate do a big water change asap
