Magicide
Last night I found a Corie catfish floating in the tank, I thought this unfortunate and scooped it out. What I noticed over the next hour was that another of the Cories was acting oddly. It would go about it's business normally for a time then it would randomly start swimming around the tank at extreme speed, sliding along the glass before it would settle down on the gravel and continue normally again. It did this twice over the course of an hour. I have 8, 7 now, Cories in the tank and only the two small ones of the same species showed any problems. I performed every test I had for water quality after I pulled the first fish and not a single test showed anything other than normal. The heat was fine and the water had no odours or any other obvious sign of problems. So I don't know what could have caused the problem. HOSStile
My albinos would do the glass thing or what I called bubble surfing hanging head down into the bubble stream. There has never been a problem with them, health-wise. All my other corys never really showed the same behavior.
