johnsmith
I have some cabomba in a 10g with 26w or 30w and no CO2. The problem is that they are growing roots all the way up the stem and they're pulling the plants down. Is that normal? Do I just need to keep trimming them? jvision
IME, all stem plants will grow roots at the nodes. You can either just trim the roots, or you can uproot them, chop 'em off at a desirable hight, and re-plant the tops.
Tanker
I have a couple stalks of this do the same thing, and I actually let the roots grow a couple inches long, then snipped the plant in pieces just below each root cluster and replanted the bits. This left only green plant exposed and it grew quite well until I killed it.
