Vallisneria
Great pics as always nelson :smilebig: Got any pics of the L.ocellatus?
Molino
Thanks everyone Raven, I use a Canon G3 digital camera, which is now discontinued and has been replaced by the G5, they might even have a G6 now? In Edmonton a good place to go camera shopping is McBains. Some London Drugs also have good photography departments. Valerie, I don't have any recent pics of the Ocellatus, I tried taking pics of the young ones, but got impatient with them as they wouldn't stop moving. Ryan
Well that usualy happens with cichlids they dont stop moving.lol.. It is hard for my to get a good pic of my female ram bacause the male always chases her. Its tough i find feeding works because they stop moving to "chew" and you can get a good shot them if you are not picy about the "perfect" picture. good luck. Ryan
I was doing some research on Bristolnose plecos because i was one or two in my discus tank and it appears the Bristolnose pleco has a look alike. The Starry night pleco has 2 rows of "bristols". One on the bottom of the head and one on the forehead. The one on the forehead is in a "v" shape like yours. The True Bristol plecos their entire nose is full of bristols. Here are some links: Starry Night pleco http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...06&TopCatId=837 Bristolnose pleco http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...39&TopCatId=837 Gold Bristolnose Pleco http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...97&TopCatId=837 They are in the same family but not the same fish. Just thought u might have wanted to know. Ryan :ml:
Smokey
Molino: the fish look great. Your camera does great justious . MPO - it is the operator/hobbiest who makes the outcome so pleasing. Both the pics and the fish are incrediable! Keep up the good work. smokey

Molino
Thanks Smokey! You may have noticed she's got a scratch on her face right underneath her eye. Her and the male got a little rough. That happens from time to time. Ryan, thanks for the info, but I don't think mine is a Starry Night pleco. Although the Starry night/Starlight (L183) pleco sounds interesting. Looking at www.planetcatfish.com they all seem to have white dots and a white edge to their tail and dorsal fin. Molino
Don't worry about trying to research the fish, unless it's for your own interest. All that concerns me with that fish is that it eats the algea in my tank
