Can anyone suggest what kind of algae eater would be good for a cichlid tank?

i have four cichlid in a 33 gal tank, algae is growing on the glass.

i am not sure what would be best to eat the algae.

i have heard snails might be good, but i've heard that they can multiply and give you a snail infestation.

can someone make some suggestions for algae eating fish?

or if someone actually has some algae eaters they wanna sell?

Zebra Nerite snails. They'll actually eat your algae (other snails either replace what they eat with snail trails, or poop so much you might as well just keep the algae), and they do breed, but eggs, if produced at all, are always infertile in captivity. Plus, they look awesome.

What kind of cichlids do you have? Some cichlids are fine with algae eater and some dont' do as well.

Zebra snails are a good choice. They are good algae eaters and look good. They aren't as good a a BN pleco but they do a pretty good job.

Mighty prawn- from what i've heard zebra snails need brackish water to breed.

sorry to hijack - I' in love with the two little nerites I picked up and this question of breeding has been bugging me, so I went searching :P Here's the most specific I could come up with other than "you can't do it in an aquarium"

Anyone wining to take this on? *looks pointedly at Val* ;)

Its been done successfully more than once....one member of the uniquaria yahoo group has had excellent success, and apparently it was not terribly difficult.
