I would be at the store you bought the heater from first thing tomorrow, and asking for some satisfaction....that sort of extreme failure in a 2 month-old heater is beyond unacceptable....at the very least, you should be getting a full refund.

So why didn't I read this before today? I went to get a bigger heater (300W Rena Cal Top) at Petsmart today. Came home, put it in the tank, waited at least an hour while I made dinner, and then plugged it in. There was a big spark at the plug, and it tripped the power bar fuse. So I reset the fuse, plugged it in again and the light came on. So I thought it was good to go. But the light has been on constantly since then, and the temp isn't rising in the tank. P.O.S. heater. I am busy tomorrow, but the store will be getting their heater back on Sunday, first thing in the morning. After reviewing these heaters and others at the CF forum, I will be buying a Stealth. That is my rant for today. Sorry.
