I think we should do a cntesst most gallons of tanks per year of age you are :smokey: naw photow contests would be good judged on the photo and the fish/ whatever in the photo. or a convict breeding contest. next meeting/auction or whatnot we all get cnvicts and the first to breed winns

oh @*$) I dont know what I did but my jewels and convicts just started laying eggs. after the eggs hatch into wrigglers how long should I wait to feed theem (in days) i have the liquid fry food bought specialy for my jewels

put a thick piece of sturdy wood in between so ot is resting on the wood instead?

how big is your tank? if I wanted a breeding pair in a 6 foot by 2 foot b 2 foot where the female would be swiming with the other fish and the male would be sectioned off with a door. how much room would I need on the male's side? btw how big is your tank and congrats

can you put regular silk plants in your aquarium? the ones you would buy fro michles? they feel the same as the aquarium silks but im not sure. if not is there anything you can do to them to make them aquarium frendly

drain half the tank or as low as your filters will go that is what I always do yowzer that is a nasty one. you think is was self inflicted or did another fish open up a can of whoopiezy :guns: yea malifax is great when I have a problem in my big tank I drain half and put extensions on my power filters and run those draining = less volume of water = less melafax = less money spent o yes I am so cunning :smokey:

well I sure hope this goes allong. I just ot another fish so no room here unless I can get another tank but that is a slim shot, my dad is mad about the raised elec. bill from my last one. just as a heads up here is a list of all the wild fish jeff has just incase soemeone wants to breed them and maybe widen the alberta genepool if you want a list of f1's just ask and I know that you can see all these on his site but they are all jumbled. this is neat and orderly and if I missed any .... :chair: dont talk about it

im looking for someting 5-5.5 feet long. 2 feet wide and 2-? feet high tank with glass top for not to much, <300 if anyone can give me a shout if there are any deals like this that would be great.

ok I got a pair of "breeding" jewels and put the alone in a 18"x18"X18" tank. they are not very big so I thought that would be big enough. for the first little while they where really excited but they now seem a bit lathargic. also they both have symetrical blackish olive markings on their head and back and the male has a slight yellow tinge. are these normal non-breeding colors? could they be sick? if so with what sickness what can I do to "boost the mood" if you know what I mean the water peramiters are normal and they are sectioned off from the other fish by a tank divider.
