  1. I have a pair that spawned about a month ago.... I have 7-8 Fry.... growing very slowly... I would say my breeders are about 2" / the key is to have the right environment for them!
  2. that type should I be looking for that they sell at Home Depot etc.... 100% Silicone
  3. Let me know how it works out.... I believe they make a 3/4 in line if I am not mistaken...
  4. Hi Harrold: I would be interested in 4 of the L201 if you have any left /

  5. The heater outlet and inlet tubing is considerably smaller... so much so that reducers would cause to much restriction to the outlet water... I am thinking that there must be a way to make another outflow from the main hose that the heater could be attached to... not sure Thanks for the thoughts in any case..
  6. Is there a way to jury rig an inline heater on a FX5?
  7. It is very high in Protein etc. Used for fry and other fish that eat small particles.... very good food however it is more expensive then most...
  8. I am looking for the freeze dried powder.. I will check with Henry.
  9. Does anyone know who carries Cyclop-eeze in Edmonton, I had origanly purchased a large can at Aquarium Enthusiasts... however they do not exist anymore and I have not seen it anywhere else / I have some right now but will be looking to get some more in the next month and prefer to buy locally.
  10. Thanks for all of the advice... it is apreciated!
  11. I have a 75G that I want break down and restart... I thought I would repair the silicon at the same time... There is a little bit of algae creep that is starting to occur. Can I cut the silicon along the edges and remove the exposed silcon where the creeping is occuring and leave the connective silicon... I cant imagine taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together...
  12. You could add a whole wack of stem plants.... and you should be good to go.....
  13. I will be interested seeing the modifcation.
  14. Move the pair to a tank that is undisturbed and you may have some luck.
  15. The Tums are used for the calcium / Apple snails need it for their shells otherwise they pit up quicky... Usually not a problem in our liquid rock here in Edmonton however in other citys a supplement is absolutly needed.
  16. Dec. 06 for me... found the site surffin the net for info on some fish I purchased.
  17. Starfire glass is nice however the clarity of Acrylic is right up there.... I will never buy another big tank made of glass.... the acrylic is lifetime / and not like it was long ago / scratches rarely happen if they do they are easly repaired... glass it is next to impossible to repair... glass weighs a ton and hard to move... my 6 foot acrylic was moved by my wife of a 110lbs and myself ... and we have all seen the pictures of broken glass pains of glass and silicon detrieration on glass tanks... IMO after having my Acrylic tank for a year pluss now I think it is the way to go for all of the above reasons pluss several I didnt list //
  18. The Wonderful World of Fish Keeping / We had fun with this video last year at about 3 consecutive meetings in Edmonton..... its a long story!

    welcome to the site!
  20. I would be very careful before purchasing that store.. Tough gig for sure... it is very seasonal and its a competitive market / rare fish are not what famillys want when they start up an aquarium / Just go to Pets smart and simular stores and you will see what their bread and butter is..... Best of Luck with whatever you decide...
  21. Nice pictures.... The aquarium at the Mirrage is unreal as well... was there a couple of months ago /
  22. Great shots... the crib looks awsome.
  23. Nice looking tanks... I love the shot of the snails on the Jello..
