I would do a fishless cycle on the tank... starter fish is old school stuff and not the best!

As Nick suggested...I would try some NLS with garlic... It is unlikely he is going to eat a food that he is not use to right away... at least with the NLS garlic or his regular food treated with garlic tonic it will have a food that he may consume and treat him somewhat.... usually when a fish stops eating there is a problem that is not related to diet type... so try a treatment rather then different food... If you need some garlic tonic let me know I have some I can give you....

Personaly I think spiecies biotopes are the best..... more natural.... that is what it is all about for me...

Thanks for the information and links Henry and Patrick.... Patrick when you mention water.... are you referring to drinking water at ground level below the house in a pan simular to a paint tray that is shallow and sloped from front to back....

I have seen the odd bat around my house as I am near the river in Edmonton.... How high off the ground does the house have to be to attract them? Is there something one should do with the house to attract some residents? Great pictures by the way...

No... I dont think it was water related... I am very maticulous when it comes to water changes / prime etc. The only thing different was the goldheads.....

Amazing not sure what happened... I had three synodontis petricola in my African tank and they all kicked the bucket in the last week... not sure what happened everyone else looks normal and healthy... only thing that has changed in that tank over the last month was I put two Goldheaded Comps in there for fry control... Any ideas?

Yes I have used the USPS as well and had no extra charges... cell phone recently... the seller just put on the packaging that it was a used item....
