First of all very nice fish :thumbs: so i'm guessing out of the last set of photos from the dempsey down, the first one is a "dario Dario" and what are the ones under that are these fish aggresive ???

Yeah Actually I'm looking for a fish to breed to feed my young calvus on, it sounds kinda cruel, but its like bringing chicken home for dinner. So I'm kinda looking for an easy fish to breed that dont get too big and does'nt need too many conditions to meet, you know the "Just Add Water" type fish. o yeah and thanks for all the input ever since i've found this site all my fish keeping questions have been answered.

I was wondering about what other species of cichlids are very prolific other than the convicts of course that dont get so big ??? Does anybody know ??? :well:

I have just recently purchased some calvus and since then have lost 4 of them from ddoing water changes iknow the first time was a result from a drastic temp change I wasn't paying a attention to the temperature and lost two of them.but the second time took a pale of water put the thermometer in there and then when it looked about right i pured it in then i lost two more. Now i dont want to do anymore water changes because i dont want to lose any fish but i know I'm going to have to sooner or later so i was just wondering if i am doing anything wrong??? But i do have an idea, I was thinking of filling some fish bags with the replacement water letting it sit in the aquarium for an hour or so before puting the new water in, do think that might help. anyone have any idea about this all help is appreciated

my girlfriend just got this guy/girl and we dont know what type of fish it is or shark the store keeper siad it was a type of shark but dont remember what type. Can Anyone Help :well:

this is a Great idea than by the time he starts to get huge you will have a slideshow that you can play and it will look like he is growing within a matter of seconds plus you would have documented pics of your dovii's growth and as sooon as you get em breeding you could also document that and then you would have a full Life circle for the species and a really good care sheet for those who havent had the chance to witness it themselves and are interested.
