  1. feel free to pm me if you haven't found anyone yet Jason
  2. yes I have two aquaclear 500 filters and two large sponge filters
  3. My tropheus kirizas that I got from punman are acting odd. They are pale in the face ( not black like they should be) and hanging out at the top of the tank. My ph is 8, temp is 78, amonia nitrate and nitrite are all 0 ppm. clown loaches and plecos are all acting normal any ideas. oh and there is lots of water movement, so oxygen levels should be good.
  4. ?Just wondering is where can you get the rubber zavlar? What is the cost of it as well. I am thinking of doing a big build and would love to source that out
  5. I will be offering the juviniles on here first just watch for the post
  6. For the most part they are fine, the clown loaches leave everyone alone. The only problem is the nimbochromis male (bad spelling sorry) they will be seperated this week when I go in after the 3 females that are holding, as I would like to seperate them.
  7. Yes a cycled filter would work as well use water from the tank that the parents are in as to not shock them when you first transfer them. If you are not having luck with brine shrimp you should try microworm culture. they are really east to maintain and keep a constant flow. I think someone on here was selling the cultures.
  8. I have been using Dow Corning 795 for years with out any problems
  9. here are pics as requested http://s905.photobucket.com/albums/ac251/just_relaxin/troupheus%20fish/
  10. I have resealed many tanks as well as buildings. I prefer Dow corning 795 as this is a structural silicone and if the tank is cleaned properly you will never have to recaulk again. If anyone needs to get some I get a real good price on it and it comes in any color you want black, clear, gray and so on. Feel free to pm if interested.
  11. thanks for the gorgeous tropheus kirizas. They had full color again within an hour of being in there new tank. I am really going to enjoy these beautiful specimans. I have also seen some breeding behavior this afternoon while watching them with my daughter. Thanks again Punman
  12. I feel sorry for you now you will have thousands of the darn things cause they just wont stop. But you could grow them a little and feed them to bigger fish....lol I think that I even got them to breed with the male in one tank and the feemale in the tank beside....lol congrats anyhow and have fun with the hobby. jason :guns:
  13. Hi everbody. My name is jason and I am a member of the tfba and love the fish hobby. I only have one tank running right now but once I have the up stairs of the house that I am in I will have a really cool fish room. I already have lots of tanks just need to set them up. FYI I am a caulker by trade and get high quality silicone that is used in commercial glazing projects. If anyone need some I will sell some to you at cost. This silicone is not cheap depending on the size of tank you are going to use it on. I really look forward to corosponding with everyone on this site, talk to you soon. Jason :guns:
  14. If you want glass DO NOT use old or used glass unless it is in perfect shape. Little tiny scratches make it very difficult to cut. and if the scratches are deep enough and you succesfully build a tank it could blow out. jason :guns:
