    Bio-spira

I thought that was the case, but if a retailer was dealing directly with marineland labs, and were to order direct as the Lighthouse does would it not then fall under the pharmaceutical act and thus reducing the shipping cost. I don’t know if that would be the case or not. I do know that a lot of people would buy it at any cost. When Marineland labs let their cultures expire and there was a 12 week delay in re-building stock, the demand world wide was incredible. Once the stock was replenished it still took Bernie at the Lighthouse 10 weeks to catch up on backorders. I know because mine was among the orders that was delayed. Hard question to answer, would it be worth the effort of a Canadian retailer to bring it in who knows. Tom

    Bio-spira

Actually this is not the case, the reason it is not here in Canada is the main chain stores wont carry it because it is expensive and needs to be refrigerated. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Here is a link to a place that will ship to anywhere in Canada Bio-spira Tom
  12. Yes Neil it was your post on these guys that got my interest up, I love the color. I was thinking maybe one and one Tilapia buttikoferi, but maybe the pair would work along with the cats you suggested. mmmmmmmmmmmmm. the possibilities are mind boggling. I love this hobby Thanks for the link, Rahim lots of fish to check out. Tom.
  13. If I was to take a shot at S.A. for the first time what fish would you suggest I could start with I would of course re-search all I could before trying. I just love some of the fish I have seen. Some of the colors are spectacular. The tank I would be using is 4ft 90 gal Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Tom

    Ta-da!

Welcome back old buddy, nice to hear from you, stick around a while this time. How are things in saskatoonville. Tom.
  15. Ok guys I need to buy some lighting for my 90, what type would you suggest. Want to stay away from the cheap bulbs that give of that yellow look. Probably go with some type of strip lighting. No plants, Malawi fish, white rocks, black moon sand substrate. Should I go with 2 strip or 4 strip. Any help were to pick up good lights at a good price would be appreciated. Thanks. Tom.
  16. Oh man, I am sorry that really sucks. I also would like to know what caused the spike, that is if you know?? The water prem's have been really wacko around here lately. I hope nothing that cannot be fixed, Good luck Ryan. Tom.
  17. Just wanted to post a pic of the Queens I had picked up from Wandj they are doing just great . Tom
  18. I just had to post this pic of my one and only surviving blue ram. I must explain I cannot keep these guys for what ever reason I do what the books and boards say to do and still I loose them. This guy was close to snuffing it so I started to feed him the N.L.S. grow small pellets, just to, what I thought would be his last meal, I fully expected to find him floating just like all the rest of the German rams I had tried to keep before. Well that was 3 months ago and take a look at the results; he is a healthy vibrant fish. Sorry he was a little fast and I didn't center him but the color is spectacular. Well I think it is. The only thing I can put this change to is the N.L.S. I swear by this stuff it’s amazing. Tom Edit - [Harold I hope you don't mind me using your thread to show my ram I was trying to give more or less the same info on N.L.S, but maybe I should have started another thread. Sorry buddy.] Tom.
  19. And, it would be great if a knew how to attach multiple pictures
  20. Here is a couple of mine also, thanks Kyle.
  21. Can't wait to see the finished product, it sounds like it is going to be something to see. Slight oversight on my part I guess-kinda hard to estimate how much is needed. I'm thinking 50 sq. ft total, and looks like I will end up with 25 Good reason to go back and throw a line in the water.
  22. As I have never had to add any P.H. booster at any time, would you guys recommend using it now? If so could you please recommend a brand, like I said I have never used it so I don't know which would be best. Tested my water straight from the tap and it is at 7.2 normally it is on the high side of 8.0, that’s quite a change and I am due for a 30% water change in my 185. Must keep my Africans happy. Thanks for the help guys
  23. Very nice looking set-up Mat. Tom.
  24. That can't be me he's has more hair on his head and he's better looking. :hey: :hey:
  25. My f1's also from Kyle are of the same quality I have the adult and juvies in the 90 hoping for a spawn but nothing yet. A few of mine did when younger, but not now they have beautiful color. R.D. how the heck you can question the quality of your pictures, they are fantastic, I still can't get shots like that with my canon s500 close-ups especially. Tom
