    Hello

Going through the list i havent introduced myself but here i go Hello im Garrett Fleck.... Im 14 years old anad have been keeping, breeding and selling fish for about 3 years now... I keep mostly malawi cichlids but have kept Rams and Angels and plecos... I have bred and kept various malawi cichlids and bred three kinds here in edmonton these are the ones ive bred Maylandia Estherae blue/red (F1) Maylandia Mbenjii (F0) Melanochromis Auratus these fish are some of the best fish ive kept And these are the rest Bolivian Rams Angelfish Buenos Aries Tetras F0 Metriaclima mbenjii Metriaclima Estherae red/red Metriaclima Estherae blue/red F1 Metriaclima Crabo Melanochromis Auartus Auloncara Stuartgranti Maleri Auloncara Hanbascenchi Red Flush Protomelas taenilous Red Empress Aulonocara OB peacock Goldfish Betta Snails Convicts BN plecos I think thats it for now but im adding Cyrtocara Moorii Auloncara Undu Reef Blue Neon Copad. Mloto Ivory head Labidochromis Mbamba I like the way they flow and scrape algae off rocks and the maternal mouthbrooders... I have just got another spawn of F0 Maylandia Mbenjii last night and JUST missed them breeding... i knew they were going to breed but i missed them cause i went to petsmart to get filters... but i have seen them before I am pretty experienced for my age and know alot about different kinds of rift lake cichlids... Heres my timeline... 5 gallon - tetras 5 gallon - tetras 2 20 gallons - malawi cichlid fry 30 gallon - more malawis 40 Long - Red Emp 75 gallon - Hap, peacock, and mbuna 50 gallon - Mbuna Lots of babies and have had more then 100 at once And more cichlids Thanks well thats me in a nutshell Garrett
  6. Well yellow tail aceis are mouthbrooders... And Brichardi are cave spawners which form colonies Look up some stuff on those things and you can find them... I think betta splendids are bubble nest builders and the male will build one and the female will tip underneath and themale will litterally squeeze the eggs outta her into the bubble nest Garrett
  7. Why dont you silicone yourself? pick some up at home depot and get started...
  8. OOOOO i think i could do that but with only a week... i think i can find somewhere here to give me trim... And Val... a guy walked into petsmart and said he wanted to give away his tank for free... and he said it was about a 50 gallon... He left his number and we took the number phoned him up and went outside... then we locked ourselves outside witrh no keys... thought my mom had her perse and so we went to the neighbours adn asked to phone and my Uncle Darcy came and we got in and went to the guys house and picked it up Thats my story :P But ill phone around and see if anyone here has trim then ill phone around in Calgary... Thanks Garrett
  9. Ok well this is what i need to do... This night i got a 50 gallon tank for FREE... its 36x18x18 which i think was a good deal :P But yeah its got the old metal trim and got some hard water stains... I need to know how to get new trim where i can put a glass lid on... and i need to kow if i can get a glass lid as a 36x18... also if i could get a cheap light strip... can anyone help me? i need some help here? Thanks Garrett
  10. WOW nice fish and nice tank I just got myself a free tank thats 3 feet by 18 inch tank today malawis are going in... Thanks Garrett
  11. I know people here that give away labs for free... sometimes 1$ a fish... all over the place... there way more cheaper than lelupis And theres alot more of labs then leleupis :ph43r: Garrett
  12. For first of all labs are found in almost every pet store that i know of and second.. some LFS have lelupi and sell them at an amazingly high price My .02 Garrett
  13. How about my input LOL well the DIY backgrounds people do take up a bunch of the tank volume but there main reason is to hide equipment and other things you want. Its kinda like a Sump but inside the tank with something in front of it. Kyle tells everyone that lots of Small rock formations provide a good amount of cover since 1 dominate msale will only go for that one area. I dont think that the fish care that much about a DIY background to a black Hagen aquarium Background but its what suits the person. I would try it and see what happens... im scared that the heater could get to hot and melt the stryofoam a bit... but i think it would go good... but it would be tricky to get the flow and all of the instruments right. HTH Garrett
