  1. Could actually buy these for under $200 from Canadian aquatics!
  2. Absolutely. As previously mentioned, some garden hoses can contain anti-mildew agents, as well as excessive heavy metal content, such as lead. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Consumer/story?id=3369894&page=1&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312 Sorry to hear about your fish. Who new!! I guess thats why you are called RD, research and development. LOL Try this link and then she can decide for herself. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226791
  3. Do you have well water or town? If it's town, did your husband treat the water after he changed it. It could have been something in the water or heavy chlorine. Sometimes even well water can have contaminants. Lots of variables but IMO I don't think it would have been the hose.
  4. What size is the ray and the size of the tank. Rays tend to be very active and make a bunch of noise when near the top of the tank. If it's eating fine etc then you just have a happy active ray!
  5. I have 4 clowns and 5 botia in a 230 with no problems. I think 50 gallon might be to small.
  6. What size is the Mbu? Mbu should be kept by themselves and in a big tank. They can be kept with same size non aggressive fish. I kept mine when it was small with Kitumba Gibberosa.
  7. Looks good I bet they are loving that tank!! Are they eating?
  8. I think the green where around $30 to $40 each and albino where a little more. You got a better deal when you buy 3. Sorry can't quite remember the exact price.
  9. I got the joke!! Seen this in person and it was a beast!
  10. IMO 3' tank is only good for juveniles. You would need a 180 gallon tank for 8" tinfoil barbs. There is so many nice fish out there why would you want to school a plain fish like tin foil barbs.IMO 3' tank would be better suited for smaller fish like tetras.
