  3. I run the 1500 on a 66 hex.... I purchased it at natures corner.. had it for over 2 years...It has a great priming hand pump on the top.. dont have anything negative to say....

  11. I've never kept discus but I do feed most of my c/a cichlids chicken heart (as a treat twice weekly).. All my large predators are fed chicken heart on a daily basis.. I have found that beef heart is much easier to prepare but it leaves an oily film on the surface of the aquarium / pond water.. Thats the main reason why I switched to chicken hearts..
  12. I find the chicken heart in the frozen seafood section... When using chicken heart 1-trim off the fatty pieces 2-cut the heart down the middle splitting it into 2 pieces 3-run cold water over the cut up pieces for a few minutes..(this removes the blood clots) 4-ready to feed.
  13. i USE TO BUY MY BEEF HEART AT "SUPERSTORE" BY THE POUND.. BUT I SWITCHED TO "CHICKEN HEARTS" BECAUSE ITS FAR LESS MESSY !!! BOTH CAN BE FOUND AT "SUPERSTORE"

  15. it could be veija synspilum but as a juvenile it does look similar to a fenestratus

  19. first spawn.. It took them over 6 hours to cover the entire rock.. I placed all the eggs in with my baby Merodontotus tigrinus cat's!! (for food) they ate all the eggs in under a minute I will be keeping the eggs next time...maybe
