    my pond

thanks again fro the concerns... I mentioned that I have a 14" exhaust fan in the fishroom, which is loud but if very effecient..... both dehumidifiers will automatically turn on If humidity gets past 30 or 35% but that doesnt ever happen.(well, barely ever). ALL my tanks are heated to at least a MINIMUM of 75-80 degrees.. I have made a lame prototype for a few inline heaters for the pond, but the first test run didnt turn out to well.. if the "inline" idea doesnt work, I will need to use at least 4 X 300watt heaters.. (very minimum) I

    my pond

Thanks for the concerns... 1. Its in my basment... IN the case of a liner tear.. 2 water proof tarps are being put down before liner goes in... and if it breaks through that.THEN ILL GO BUY A WET VAC 2. Yes, my broker is aware of my current 600gallons of tanks and that is NOT AN ISSUE at all.. 3. MY current 600+ does not cause me a problem ..The room has an 14" exhaust fan. I also have 2 large dehumidifiers but I never use them... 4. BRACING, BRACING, BRACING, BRACING, BRACING, BRACING, BRACING and more BRACING

    my pond

hey everybody.. its 12.6 feet long... 40inches high... 40 inches wide.... roughly 880 gallons..( a little smaller than I planned)) I will be enclosing the frame with "3/4 ply", this weekend.... then add liner and IM done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my bass will be sooo happy when its done
  10. I made this filter for my indoor pond(which is still under construction)).. I am cycling the filter on top of a half filled 66gallon.. each chamber has its own specific usage..carbon, bio max, filter fiber, etc... I created roughly 50 tiny drain holes on the top 4 drawers.. The filters will be located in a seperate room(laundry)..so, the pond can look presentable It was built to run my 1300gallon/hour pump, but currently has a 400gal/hour pump cycling it Its been running for aboot 3 week..
  11. Good work devon... .. I have used generic epoxy as welL. I thought it would harm the fish but it never did...

  14. The pond is comin... (frame built, supports in place.... the Paroons grew up way to fast. I had to take them out of the bass tank. They now reside with a 20-21inch jardini, 20inch tigershovelnose ... I hope they will all get along in the pond...
  15. Thanks corvette ..they are in a 150. ..They all eat pellets...... Im in the middle of a indooor pond project... 12 X 3.5 X 3... Ill be posting pics in the dyi section very soon... your temensis are amazing
  16. from what Ive read, temensis is the largest new-world cichlid... I think thats pretty cool  THE TEMENSIS is the one with the silver spoting!! sorry for the bad pics..
  17. 50gallon is a good starter size but you will need bigger... rb's are best kept in a group, otherwise they tend to be shy and timid. I exclusively fed them chicken hearts and shrimp. (both are super cheap) Dont waste your money on feeders... you will need loads of excessive filtration to fight there messy habits. use some form of plastic plants and float them on the surface of the water or try using fake floating lilly pads to give shad and cover... this will help them from being so SKID-ISH good luck.. I hope this helps a bit Hybrid
  18. ... anyone ever seen anything this dumb before?
