your gonna need to find one of very similar size..which will be very difficult.

my shovelnose is pushing 2feet and has a similar sized redtailcatfish as a partner.. if your looking for colour..add a redtailcatfish..

it all depends on the type of arowna in captivitlv ive seen -rtg's at 26inches -silvers over 3feet -jardini's pushin 2 feet -green over 28 inches i keep my redtailgolds in a 440 gallon pond bythemselves and i feel its tight for space.

I've seen shine aquatics systems and they are running at 86... i keep my arowana pond at a minimum of 82..

well obviously you shouldnt start out with a 26inch redtailgold but you could start out with a 2 inch jardini. dont be discouraged by fellow a.a members.. this hobby is all about learning and the best way to learn is hands on experience..

sometimes, wild caught is the only option i have a few wild fish but only because captive bred speceimens are simply not available..For example, I keep tarpon which are not bred in captivity, so wild caught was my only option.

Nothing wrong with 2 cannisters on a 50 but I would reccomend a filtration system that has a "BIO_WHEEL"

If you talk to Frank @ Family Pet Supercentre i'm sure he'd be happy to bring some in for you, i was just at BA today in edmonton and yikes the rays are in bad shape so i wouldnt buy them from there at least spencer jack has a motoro for 145!! :thumbs:

keep the bio-max for the canisters.. I run a couple hundred potscrubbies on my indoor pond filters!!!

a few members on this site do have the facilities to keep such an animal.. does this shop have a website?
