  1. Nice fish, but your gonna need a way bigger tank dude.
  2. Why not just toss a few pellets in? They will probably like the NLS better anyways. Iv never seen a community fish that did not accept NLS almost instantly.
  3. Plywood is better, cheaper, and lighter. You may not be able to look at your tank threw the side, but I noticed that the fish act more natural with only one viewing window and no distractions from the side. And zavlar is okay, but Polyurea is better. Its less sloppy. Its a spray on liner rather then a tack on rubber one. Id go with 3/4'' glass if I was you.
  4. I have a 5 gallon tank with a aquaclear mini, 2 pieces of driftwood, 50 watt heater, and its a cool looking tank, only 3 pieces of glass. I also live in sherwood park. Ill sell the set up cheap, pm me please
  5. So? Buying fish from tiny and growing them up is the best part of the fish keeping experience, well thats me anyways.. Thats a wicked price for them. If this was a year ago, I would of bought 6.
  6. I am gonna try and revive the guessing game. Heres a easy one.
  7. I was almost thinking going to coldwater fish. If I did ever get them, id get rainbow and bull trout. Something like this...
  8. I am going to disagree with this one.. I always see print on gravel and sand saying pre rinsed, and it still makes my water a tinge cloudy after I rinse it.
  9. It does not matter if you have a sump or not, you can have canisters if you like. As long as you have addiquit filtration for how many gallons of water you have. Did someone tell you that you have to have a sump? Are you running a salt water tank maybe?

-roll- Your missing a important component for making those eggs hatch..
  11. I have not been for a while, and I am getting out of the hobby so I got some stuff thats collecting dust. I am thinking about tossing all my aquarium stuff in a large cardboard box and making it all one bidding item.
  12. Ill give you a good deal. Id try and sell a silver and get a black -roll- I really love mine, I would keep him, but I am selling my tank.
  13. Thats a awesome tank dude! You know what would be a nice addition to your tank? A black arowana
  14. I used polyurethane. He sprayed on 5 layers. Sealed the tank no problem!
  15. Welcome, and nice looking tank bro. who is that in the left side of the picture? :shifty:
  16. do you raise your own "small frogs" to feed your oscar? No, my buddy has a pond in his backyard, but over the years it turned into a mini swamp where frogs breed -roll- So I get them from there. so you poached them. unless you're breeding them yourself or buying them, that's brutal.
  17. I am planning on selling him once he is fully matured.
  18. No. When I put my hand in the tank, they chase it away and attack it.
  19. Maybe one day when he is fully grown, Ill sell him back to you :shifty:
  20. The thai silk is 6.5'' and the red dragon/fader is 3'' Yes, he is solid blue Anything in my monster tank under 8'' will become food. Also, 2 male flowerhorns would not work. While the thai silks tank was cycling, I had them in the same 65 and the divider got knocked over and they beat each other up very good in less then 10 minutes.
  21. Thanks. And he is just a baby. They are still growing.
  22. I took 80 pictures, and only 5 were decent. Its very hard to take a picture of a fish that never is still and always moving around.
  23. do you raise your own "small frogs" to feed your oscar? No, my buddy has a pond in his backyard, but over the years it turned into a mini swamp where frogs breed -roll- So I get them from there.
