He will get to about 20" if he is a male, which I am hoping he is. He will also look like this when he gets bigger.

Thought I would post some pictures of my new Panther, I acquired him at the Red Deer Reptile Show from J&J Reptiles. He's eating like a little pig and seems to be doing very well. He's about 3 months old now. He's usually much brighter than this, it's the first time I've handled him since the show so he's a little stressed. Thanks for looking

If I remember correctly, that red-gold peacock that was in petland was bred by Mark. I'm not sure if he still breeds them though.

I also had one. He ate pretty much anything I offered him, flakes, bloodworms, micro pellets. I woke up one morning to find him on the floor. I still have no idea how he got out :cry:

He is by far the cutest fishy ever and he is now in my tank and will soon make the long trip to Saskatoon! Thanks for letting me know he was there Neil!

Honey or any kind of syrup. Just put a few little plates of it out around where the ants usually hang out. They can smell it and will get stuck in it when they try to eat it.

I have actually had to deal with this a few times. Usually just stupid college guys who think it's funny and when you refuse them service they leave. I did however deal with a customer who believed a little more strongly that not only should he be allowed to fight bettas, he should also be allowed to be drunk, yelling and swearing in a petstore at 11am on a Saturday morning. Needless to say, I asked him nicely to tone it down a little or leave the store. He responded by throwing me against a wall of tanks and screaming in my face! Just a memory triggered by this thread! Mighty Prawn, the police were called regarding this incident and didn't even care about the abuse I suffered, never mind the fish. They really would laugh at anyone who called in a "betta fight"!
