What is the average adult size for these fish....and what is the recommended tank size?

The fish is doing much better on the floating part, but now he is pooping skinny strands...... I guess we will see, we did add salt and do the water changes, and he is better... Someone told my friend that frozen peas help with consitpation? Anyone hear of that before?

She did some water changes, the fins look better, she can now swim to the bottom, but still stays mostly at the top. She has to fight to stay down...if she stays still she will float up. She is pooping. Melafix or what?

is there anything we can do? for #1 or #2? If not, we must put him down, you are right........the other person who replied, either he gets better fast or we have to end his misery!! Robin

HI, how long do goldfish live? My friend has had this guy for over 5 years and got it from her daughter..... He is floating, upright, but his top fin is drying out because he stays right at the surface. The rest of his fins seem to look kind of shredded, so I thought maybe fin rot? No one is picking on him, he is in with tetra's and a few other huge goldfish. Any tips? Bloat? Old age? What makes a fish so bouyant? Robin

no live plants, all other fish fine, species....Kryptopterus bicirrhis, only fake plants and wood and orange rock in the tank....do a 30% or so water change weekly or bi weekly.

the heater looks fine.....if the fish was electrocuted.....sorry if this is a dumb question.........wouldn't they all be dead?

why? would it leak something.....or just get too hot, as my temp is okay?????

As the title says, this little fella is doing loops, swimming erratically and now has develloped a red blotch protruding from his forehead. I have been dosing Melafix for a week now, did a water change and all is well with the other fish. I had a little bout with ich on an angel, a ram and a loach. They are all well now......what happened to this guy?

thanks guys! he is quite happy in a Huge 2 gal vase in the middle of my dining room table for now. I am not much of a fish catcher...so decided not to test him in my big tank......in case i needed to get him out!

Had a leak in the 10 gal, so put the cory's and little clown pleco back in my 45 gal. The betta I put in a 1 gal vase for now, can I put him in the 45 gal? It is pretty heavily stocked with Killi's, GBR, Bolivian rams, loaches, now 2 cory's, congo tetra's, glass catfish, pleco, 2 angels.........would the betta max out?
