  1. I kept a giant for awhile, very entertaining fish but I had to keep him alone. He was capable of attacking most of the s.american cichlids I kept with him
  2. that thing is too cool. How big do they get
  3. Having never kept these type of fish is this tank the size one would need for the long term. Love the look of it and I am trying to get a little info on these great fish
  4. Does this mean that I should be feeding my Discus a far more veggie diet, I have both captive and wild Discus. Any help on this question would be appreciated
  5. I've had mine for a while now and have found him to be fairly aggressive. If i'm correct in my reading they do get qiute large and get nastier as they grow. I keep mine with a red devil, flowerhorn, and 2 jack dempseys to avoid any casualites
  6. I've had my cobra for a while and although he is small still 7" he is quite aggressive, but i keep hime with larger cichlids and have not run into any issues yet
  7. Hi there, I am new to the forums and have been doing research on some of the miscelanious cichlids I have purchased with my 75 gallon setup. I have come across the following sites with a great deal of information in regards to many species and compatibility for African Cichlids: http://www.africancichlids.net/gallery/ http://malawicichlids.com/index.htm Hope this helps! Rick. A site that I have found handy for cichlids and fish in general is http://www.fishprofiles.com/profiles/ Hope this is useful
  8. for a more aggressive side i keep a combination of jack dempseys and a red devil in with a stripped pike cichlid, all in a 120 gallon tank. quite mean spirrited but interesting
  9. I keep three archerfish with my two green spotted puffers in a 66 Gallon tank without any problems. The archers are too fast to catch in the event the gsp decided to
  10. wouldn't any small sponge filter do? I use one in my 10gallon fry tank and it is effective
