  6. i use 2 250w halides on my 92 corner and get great coverage, heat this time of year is kind of a pita though!! Personally i'm starting to look into a diy led build just so i can place them as needed in the same shape as the tank.

  8. as far as cheap these have done me no harm!!! http://shop.aquatraders.com/Metal-Halide-System-s/10.htm
  9. no worries with the cover on, 10 min drive should be a breeze
  10. take as much water as you can, keep the fish in a dark (blackout) container to minimize stress, keep all rocks in water, all corals in another container with water. I wouldn't bother with taking the sandbed, this is what will cause you grief. Start the new tank with new substrate (have it rinsed and ready to go) or go barebottom (love it). Get as much help rounded up as it makes things go alot smoother and quicker. Dedicate the day to moving the tank as it can be time consuming. Once you get the livestock to the new place andd a heater and small power head to keep eveyone happy while you set things up.
  11. could be just a type of coraline, hard to tell. deffinatelly cure the hair algae while your cycling, you'll thank yourself 6 months from now!!
  12. interesting, let me dwell on that for a bit...the 4 in question that you might sell, are all 4 female?
  13. if you don't mind my asking, i'm looking for a bit of breeding advice. I have 3 in a 90 gal, which yes they could use more real estate, but that probibly won't happen till spring. Theres 1 male with 2 females and a pair has formed with the other female kinda left out. either way they have bread nearly a dozen times but the females has never held to full term, usually 10 days or so in she's either spit or swallowed the eggs. Their tank consists of alot of rock work but i'm wondering if maybe i need to find some sort of cave dwelling that the female can hide out in that the male is to big to enter. I pondered the terra pot but the male could still acess that so figured it would solve nothing. any suggestions are more than welcome cuz after having this trio for over 5 years now i would love to see them produce some fry!!
  14. very nice fronts!!! do you breed yours at all?
  15. snapped a few pics, thought i'd post em up!!
  16. i think the bottom linr is that i personally wouldn't trust it with thousands of dollars in livestock. trying to cure rock hey have at er!!
  17. Have you tries pricing one out thru goober reef? He's usually cheaper than all other reef shops in lethbrige.
