  1. Nope, but my floor joists look way stronger than yours. No chipboard, solid Fir.
  2. Hey everyone! I have a question here.I'm thinking about setting up a 180 gal tank in my living room.Would it be safe to set it up against the centre wall that is above the main support beam for the house? This is a bungalow that was built in 1965,so it's all Fir wood and built strong. The centre support has two 2"x6" sandwiched lenghtway(full length of house) with 2"x6" every 16" vertical support, and 2"x10" horizontal every 16".I figure a total weight of 2300lbs for complete setup.Hope this makes sense!lol! Experienced help will be ever so appreciated! Thankyou Walter
  3. Thanks for the fast responses guys! For now i'll just research and admire from the side since i don't have the proper setup.I've been wanting to get back into Fronts again, but been having second thoughts and wanting to go a little more exotic.I'll just continue to cycle my tank and sit on the sidelines and keep reading and learning from you guys. There are so many friggin' choices out there,it's giving me a headache!!I want them all!!!lol
  4. Wow!Seeing and reading all the info on the rays just blow me away!I was at Big Als yesterday for 2hrs drooling over the rays there. One of the girls said that the pair in the tank with the huge Arrowana is pregnant and will be giving birth in about a week or two. I was wondering, are there any rays out there that are not 3 feet or more across at adulthood? Is there a ray that is like 18" max as an adult? Are the Motoro's the smallest out there?Keeping these would be nice, but not realistic if you can't supply a proper setup for them.I'm so envious of you guys who have the room to keep these beautiful fish  !lol!Walter
  5. That was an excellent read  Thankyou,it answered my question!
  6. Hello guy's!I need your expertise on something.I live on the top floor of a three story apt.Now the question is,can i set a 120gal tank up without a problem of my tank falling through the floor?!?I've always lived in a house and never thought about this problem before.I was thinking of setting the tank up on the outside wall, figuring that this would be the strongest spot to set it up.What do you guys think?Walter
  7. Very nice pics.Bichers look so prehistoric.
  8. Beautiful!Iwish i had the space to setup a tank for some rays.I see the rays at Big Als fish store and love to watch them.
  9. Hello, and thank you for accepting me to your forum! :smokey: I used to have Frontosa, electric yellows, and green terrors, but had to sell it all when i broke up with the ex.Now i have a big enough place i'll be able to setup 2 tanks.i'll be setting up a 28gal and 66gal.I'll be hanging around and reading alot....Walter
