ok so it is normal for them all to have spots there are some that only have one or to small spots on the fin

Hi guys so im wondering the best way to sex cichlids from reading online i read you can sex some of them by the spots on the tail means male my only problem with that is my electric yellow just had fry and i put her back in the display but never played close attention to her and when looking in the tank all my electric yellows have the dots any ideas

Ya i only use 2 of the 4 strips they give off lots of light but as i only use them at night when most of the lights are off around the house i thought for was a littel over kill i built a L shape glass desk in my office with frosted glass so i used them under the desk to to change the color of the glass i used all for strips and it lights up the hole room

im onley using 2 strips

i bought them from ikea they wear cheep for led bars plus the controler for 40 bucks cheapest place i have come accross leds you can see them hear http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20119418/

my fish have not got stressed its just an led strip that i installed no different then moon lights

thanks i feed them twice a day i did lose an angel when i first started out but besides that one every one gets along great i have not seen any signs of aggression in my tank as of yet if i do ill start moving them to my other tanks and they all seem to leave my plants alone if i see them starting to nip then out they come lol
