ditto i use em and couldnt survive without them. California has weird laws, almost every product that is not innert can cause cancer to them.

I wedge pot scrubbies in there so its impossible for them to rise up, a lil bio max on top. I dont really use em for mechanical filtration more of a boost to the biological side.

I stripped my callochromis stappersi too early, they fry still have lil pink egg sacs. She cannot suck them back up bc of her mouth design. she tried but couldnt get them in her mouth. an I keep these lil guys alive? ANy of them? Any tips?

Yeah sponge aroung the intake is solid advice. Fill the rest of your tray with some bio media of some sort to increase the population if there is enough waste. Not sure how dirtty scrimp are.
