  1. Are there any fish missing in the hazy tank? do they test the same?
  2. Yeah Jayba pretty much hit the nail on the head. Those are the leading causes of micro bubbles for sure. i stopped using th emedia pads and polishing pads for that reason.
  3. Hahah great lil fish, hard to pass up at 8 bucks. Ill have to think about that one.
  4. Looks real nice. I agree 20 longs are my favs! so much you can do.
  5. nice bud ill stop by soon to check those flyrivers out! saweet
  6. That sucks. I tell u A SHORT story that may be relevant. back in late 90's I ordered a hks exhaust system for my car. this was a extremley good exhaust system and expensive. long story short after they installed it at their place and i went home. That night as i found out later, they came to my house and stole it right back off my car. haha maybe thats the case?>
  7. My wc plecos eat nls wafers to the point where they sport a gut for a few hours! Great info guys
  8. Hmmm if it came on in one night like that I would suspect physical injury
  9. Im not much into planted but im sure you would get away with a lil cannister, or a smaller hob.
  10. Ouch that stomach bug is going around strong! I wanna see some of the pico tanks
  11. hustler where did u find all these fish? Find me a young arrow! Hopefully black. Ive been looking for some lil ones just not a silver. Great gars I will check them out soon!
  12. We should organize a trip. My rays would love some! I would be in.
  13. My 6 foot 180 crosses 5 floor beams all crosed braced. The main header run right next to the tank . I have no worry about my floor. House built in 1999. And telepole is very near the tanks footprint. Mind u shaune your 240 is 600lbs more than my 180. A third heavier. To be safe I'd basement it and get a 125 long for upstairs or sumthing.imagine if your 240 felll thru the floor and crashed thru your 265 starphire tank!
  14. Your houe is newish man it should be ok. Nothing beat the basement though for biggies. Just make sure the tank is running horizontaly to the floor beams. Against a wall or corner is strongest. Even better find the main header. I have my 180 on my main floor and I check for sag every once in a while and there is none.
  15. Read the article on prime. Its pinned here somewhere. It depends if your watershed uses chlorine or chloramine
  16. There r a few importers here that I know of. Fairdeals your best bet!
  17. ahhah prime is my life! Yeah in the park there was 0 ppm
  18. poop sorry about your loss. I'm having a hard time getting my gar to take anything but blood worms and prawns. He is stubborn and really only likes the blood worms. Which pisses me off bc nutrional value of blood worms is extra low. Still won't swallow a earth worm just grabs em and shreds em a lil. I'd say mine Is close to 6 to 7 inches but prolly more like 5 to 6. I will measure when I get home. But I really enjoy this fish. He Is not spooky or jumpy at all. Bc that the worst when they fast start into the wall of a aquarium. I am leary of putting him in my 180 for that reason alone. Leading cause of gar death and disfigurement. (So I have read)
  19. When I asked the owner of the 405 why he stopped collecting fish. He said they all died over a month or so. So I'm a lil worried. Where do I get potasssium perm from? Thanks everyone for your idea!
  20. Thanks everyone! I tossed the hoses also bc they had been kinked a lil a well. Looked like hose segments were weakened. The cannister and filter trays themelves are very clean now. I'm more concerned with a negative bacteria or some sort of parasite being dormant and just waiting for the comfy confines of my tank to come ruhing thru.
