  1. Yup thats thr price i was tlking about, good price comes with a good reputation as well. All in all breeding these guys seems to be a profitable thing to do. Too high of price and you price out most of your customers. Find that perfect price zone and those lil suckas will fly out your door.
  2. Thats a decent price, I wouldnt pay 140 for one but its a average price
  3. I also hang my breeder nets directly in front of powerheads or outakes. The fry really enjoy it

    Hello

Yes discussing your tanks is a must! :smokey:
  5. Agreed, slow drips are great insurance. I slow drip most fish and every pleco!
  6. Soon you will have more fry than you can handle!
  7. Hahah gotta start somewhere! Its a learning curve, you never stop learning.
  8. Its gotta be able to work. I have used acs on one of my 55 top fins. Is the intake tube in the way? or is the filter spilling water onto your lid?

Welcome, and yes you have come to the right place!
  10. Yeah i try to let the buckets sit a few mins at least before adiing them to the tank. Its such a pain but i only pull about 100 to 150 gallons every week from my tanks. I Do it 2 buckets at a time so 10 to 15 trips hahaah.
  11. Good ol big als. They will be your best bet as they have parts for most filters.
  12. Yeah it appears that the author has some serious experience in fish keeping. You cant go wrong with clean water. I thought water changes were all about removing nitrates and potential sources of nitrate. Never knew the full process.
  13. Yeah I dont get it. Hes fine now, untill next sat.
  14. Oh yeah I do this same water change every Sat. Anywhere from 50 to 90 gallons a week.
  15. Today I did a 90 gallon water change on my 180. I have this one fish who acts stressed after every water change. This one yellow calvus sits on the bottom and gasps while its tankmates seem to love the water change. After about a hour it begins to act normal. It acts so weird that the first time I seen it happen I figured it was a goner for sure. There are many calvus and comps in this tank but nobody acts like this one. I do my water changes the prehistoric way. I pull water using a few 5 gallon pails, than i fill them(treating with prime) and let them sit a few mins before putting back into the tank.
  16. The pair is for sale in the livestock classifieds. They are baby factories.
  17. I want to know someone who does that! Any albertans involved?
  18. There are so many nice tangs on aquabid but I have been afraid to purchase on that site. So a transhipper is some what of a middle man?
  19. sounds like a good way to go. I would keep as much original water in pails as u can. make sure filter media stays wet at the very least
  20. yeah cool thanks i know very lil bout sa and ca. nice fish
