  1. I envy you one one hand for getting a big tank like that, I dont envy the move I just got a 210 gallon 3 weeks ago, so the move is still fresh in my head.....lots of good advice with dolly and suction cups - one thing that I did was make a cardboard "tank" cutout the same dimensions as my tank. y tank was 7 feet long x 2 x 2 (210 gallon)....so I made a 7'x 2' cardboard cutout, I used the cutout to see if the tank would fit down my stairs and around a corner on that stairs.....really really helpful, even used it show my "movers" (friends) the route and movements needed to get it down. We should form a "movers" group on here I will be the supervisor....lol
  2. Afishionados - is this a member here or a company?
  3. Vaseline works just as well. Thanks for the info, I have 2 that came with my tank that can now be used
  4. Anyone ever done the DIY (Do it Yourself) driftwood for your tank? I have a 210 gallon, and want to create a large centerpiece driftwood for the tank - been having a real hard time finding a large piece in any of the stores. I have read a fair bit online about how to prepare the wood, and what types of woods can / should / should not be used....where I am stuck is finding / where to find the perfect piece - anyone in the Edmonton area have any pointers or experience to relate ?
  5. Hi all, after many years away from aquariums I have recently fallen in love with them again. This love was triggered by a birthday gift (10 gallon tank) for my 4 year old son.....sure enough, once elbow deep in the water I realized how much I missed it and how much I enjoyed it. I have had many tanks over the years and many many types of fish. so.......after setting up the 10 gallon I searched for a tank for myself and found a 210 gallon that was just what I wanted. It is up and running, gravel in it, a few rocks - waiting for fish, driftwood, some slate, and unique rocks. I have never had Discus before - so I plan on stocking the tank with them. I will be posting a few "wants" in the buy and sell part of this site. Glad to have found such a great site Simon
  6. Hi all - just got a 210 gallon tank and am deciding what to put in it. Thought about Discus and/or Angelfish. Is there a compatibility issue with those fish? As well, what sort of cleaning type fish would be good (ones that will not eat eggs if I have some breeders)?
