  1. Looking to see if anyone knows of stores in Edmonton that have this in stock? Or willing to trade some for Anubis nana
  2. Ok thanks I will make sure everything is in working order when I packgage it. I dont want to ruin the auctions as they are a lot of fun and benefits all who participate buyers and sellers (and club) alike.
  3. Is there any restrictions on hardware this time? There was mention in a previous meeting that due to problems with quality hardward will not be allowed.
  4. A friend says he saw one getting built near Kingsway mall across from the Gimble Eye Center. Anyone got any info?
  5. do we need to bring our own lighting to the event? thanks
  6. Hi all, just wondering where to get a small piece of 5mm thick, 600 x 350mm for cheap. Called around places like Speedy and got quoted $25 for it. Kinda pricey to fix a small tank. Anyone have any places they go to get cheap flat glass (possibly cut to size?) Thanks!
  7. Hi Guys, I recently installed an RO setup in my condo and made a garbage can reservoir for the water. I now need a pump to help me with the water changes to get the water from the garbage can to the tanks. I was looking at the marineland 1800/3000 pumps for this job. The distance is about 20-25' from the reservoir. Will these pumps do? I was at the Home Depot store and saw a sump system for $60. It was rated for 3000gph or something crazy like that. Will a sump system like this work also for my needs? Im not sure if this is aquarium safe though. Any thoughts?

    Hello

Hi, I'm 29 and got into raising fish last year when I moved into my first purchased home. I was very interested in goldfish particularly lionheads and orandas. In my tank I have a red-cap ryukin, wakin, lionhead and an oranda. They are all doing well and my tank is well established. I was washing my filter every week in tap water for the first bit and I almost learned the hard way when the ammonia levels peaked for a while. Who knew about tap water? No one told me but I read up afterwards and realized what I was doing wrong. I do regular water changes and its kind of relaxing and there is a satisfaction of knowing that regular maintenance will let the fish live a long life and hopefully grow to their fullest potential. I have to say I never really cared for fish but once you get into this hobby its really addicting and becomes part of your lifestyle and also part of your family.
