  1. Hey Tim! It's your best friend again for round 2! *Ding! Ding!*
  2. Do I say it? Do I? I dunno, I don't want to sound like a nagging stepmother or anything guys...
  3. Actually, FYI, I made was especially clear with Tim about the dangers of a carpet anemone. Tim might have to correct me on the details, but I believe my exact words were "THIS THING IS A NOTORIOUS FISH EATER". Check Darcy. Your move.
  4. I'm a sales trained part of the staff, ho ho! I went to school for this, you guys are no match for me! Ha! Ha!
  5. You know, Tim, those things aren't exactly easy to keep, haha. Edit: They're prone to becoming powerhead food.
  6. Okay, okay, fine. I know, I'm the greatest. In anycase, more sensitive fish are as simple as a double dose of any water conditioner with a stress reliever (errr, read: tranquilizer) in it. If you're really worried, use water that's been aged and aerated for a day. For some species like cardinal tetras, R/O water is also a plus. Like I was saying, the use of old water from another fish tank is redundant and completely unnecessary. I'm 100% sure of this and I have the experience to back it up.
  7. ... Is this how those fights start on cichlid-forums? Tee hee!!
  8. .. What does alk have anything to do with cycling?
  9. Don't bother transfering water. Bacteria settle on substrates, they're not free-floating. Old water just means water + nitrates. Use fresh, conditioned water. Your mature filter will take care of the rest.
  10. Huh? That wasn't very nice... :welcome: :welcome: :welcome: :welcome:
  11. I think those are bumblebee gobies. You can find more infor about them here: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%2...ebee%20Goby.htm and here: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball,%2...ebee%20Goby.htm Hope that helps...
  12. I've tried them with Malawi cichlids. They got worked.
  13. I have experience with them; it involves lots of pain, swearing and screaming. ... AND SHUT UP PAUL, I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE GUTTER YOU PERVERT.
  14. Pffft, Survior Man has nothing on me. I'd feed it with my MOUTH!
  15. Wouldn't work, it would just end up 40' from the tank all dried up. VOLITANS! I mean, c'mon! If that's not going to get the talk going, I don't know what will. More:
  16. They should be more than double that size by the end of the year.
  17. Worse case scenario, you lose a couple gallons per hour on the flow rate.
  18. What? Nothing, maybe some corals, but nothing that needs really bright light. Really though, do you REALLY need to mix them with anything? Darcy, one day, you HAVE to try one of these out. I'm not kidding, coolest pet I have EVER owned. Makes my dog seem like a cockroach.
  19. Hey Tim, just so you know, I probably could have gotten that piece of glass for you for close to half the price. Mitch's problems do have their upsides, Ha! Ha!
  20. Wallagu atu's is amateur, I want a whale shark.
  21. Did you buy it as gertrudae? http://www.cichlidae.com/gallery/species.php?s=1
